« La sarabande est une mélodie nostalgique inspirée de la musique hébraïque, traitée dans le style classique. Quant à la gigue, son tempo a un caractère percutant. Elle est composée dans le style traditionnel avec, dans la partie centrale, un rappel de la gigue écossaise. L’œuvre est dédiée à Ilse et Nicolas Alfonso».

De Guigue heeft een sterk geritmeerd tempo, in traditionele stijl behandelt, met een middendeel dat aan de Schotse volksdans herinnert. Het werk is aan Ilse en Nicolas Alfonso opgedragen.»
